ABOUT ME
I have worked in the pensions industry for 27 years. For the first 8 years I worked in pensions administration. I then moved into pensions management, working on a number of large Trust based Schemes, before moving to work for 10 years as a Pension Scheme Secretary for a large defined benefit pension scheme valued at approximately £500m.
I have experience of working with both defined benefit and defined contribution benefit structures and also contract based schemes. The schemes have ranged from small schemes at the beginning of their life to mature schemes which are looking to de-risk as they progress through their journey plan towards eventual self-sufficiency and buy-out.
I specialise in ensuring that Trustee Boards have the support they need to run their pension schemes effectively, following best practice and governance requirements. I have experience of working on major de-risking projects including bulk annuity projects, pension increase exchange exercises and enhanced transfer value exercises.
My current clients include the above scheme and also a further appointment providing secretarial and governance services to the Trustees of a Pension Plan for a national employer which provides both DB and DC benefits and is valued at approximately £625m.
